"Petty Carmine Corvette" is a vocal by American recording artist Prince. The song combines a Linn LM-one beat and slow synth buildup with a rock chorus, over which Prince, using several machine metaphors, recalls a one-night stand with a beautiful promiscuous woman. Backing vocals were performed past Lisa Coleman and Dez Dickerson, who as well performs a guitar solo, the simply instrumentation on 1999 not provided past Prince himself.
